Kuroshio marlin and island reefs
The Kuroshio current brings black and blue marlin close to the east coast of Taiwan, and tropical Hainan has dorado, tuna and trevally. Hong Kong's islands are a short boat ride from the city for grouper and squid.
Rules: each place has its own rules; marine parks and reserves restrict or ban fishing.
On the bay, in the mangroves or on the ocean, the everyday struggles get left at the dock. For those few hours, it's just you, the water and peace.
